A DIRECTORY SNAPSHOT, NOT A CLAIM OF TOTAL MARKET SIZE
What this index measures
These figures describe the UK venues currently published on Bouldering Wall. They are useful for comparing this directory’s city, operator and facility coverage, but they should not be presented as a complete census of every UK climbing business. New walls, closures and facility changes are added as sources and gym owners confirm them.

METHODOLOGY
How the snapshot was built
Snapshot date: 30 August 2026. The page is generated from the same source records as the public directory. Every row has coordinates and an official venue website; 15 records currently carry an explicit source-check date in the dataset.
Counting: one published physical venue equals one record. City totals use the directory’s city assignment. Operator totals use the recorded chain field. Facility totals use only declared tags and therefore understate amenities where source detail is incomplete.
Corrections: opening hours, prices and facilities change. Use each listing’s official link before travelling. Gym owners can verify and maintain their listing for free, and climbers can report a missing wall.
Citing the index: link to this page so readers can see the methodology and current snapshot. The CSV is provided for analysis and verification.
