The current Reading Climbing Centre
The Britten Road wall many climbers know as Reading Climbing Centre now operates as Parthian Climbing Reading. The current venue combines more than 100 boulder problems across ten circuits with a competition wall, so it remains a useful result for both “Reading bouldering” and the venue’s older name.
Bouldering and ropes
This is a mixed climbing centre rather than a bouldering-only gym. Parthian also lists extensive top-rope, auto-belay and lead climbing, supported by training space, a café and a shop. Mixed groups can therefore train different disciplines in the same building.
First visit and travel
The centre is on Britten Road near Reading town centre, with on-site parking. The operator estimates around a 30-minute walk from Reading station. Complete the correct registration for your climbing discipline and check current induction, opening and booking details before travelling.
