The Foundry

What is inside

The Foundry works for mixed groups because it is not only a bouldering gym. Its current venue information lists several bouldering circuits alongside lead climbing, top ropes, auto-belays and dedicated training areas. That gives a visiting group room to split by discipline without choosing separate walls.

First visit

Independent use depends on registering for the discipline you are competent to use. New climbers can book instructed sessions, while experienced climbers should complete the correct registration before arriving. Use the official venue page for the current process rather than assuming registration transfers from another Sheffield wall.

Getting there

The wall is on Mowbray Street. Customer parking is monitored, so drivers should follow the current reception instructions for recording their registration plate. If the grit is dry, pair the trip with Stanage or Burbage; otherwise compare it with The Climbing Works.
