Why it matters
Staffordshire’s big indoor is in Longton, not Leek. Awesome Walls Stoke is a dedicated bouldering warehouse: two floors, a roof, a training corner, and the kind of volume you cannot get in a town wall. If you live in the Potteries or drive the A50, this is the school-night session. The Peak is still the point of the weekend.
The session
Bouldering only — no ropes hall to hide in. Beginners get the smaller walls; regulars end up on the overhang. Treat it as training for grit, then point the car at The Roaches when it is actually dry. Wet and you want ropes as well? Peak Climbing Wall in Leek.
